London Calling

This is my first time studying abroad and it has been a great experiance thus far. After so many people telling me I was going to have a great time in London, I finally know what they were talking about. When I arrived it was almost a surreal experiance. After having seen pictures and movies set in the city, here I was walking around in it. Despite the size of the city it has not overwelmed me at all and I feel like I have fit in quite nicely.

The past week has been busy as our group has gone to two museums every day. It has been well worth it as I have seen pieces of art that I had only seen before in a text book or on a power point in a classroom. To be able to take a detailed look and to even see the brushstrokes in a painting is amazing.

Nightlife is also a lot of fun, but as I was told very expensive. Everytime I order a drink I try not to think of the exchange rate. I can’t wait to get back home buy a case of Budweiser and hit up dollar beer night. My only other complaint is that I haven’t seen a football game in a few weeks. Although mabye that is a good thing as I heard the New England Patriots were routed by the Ravens today.

Thats all for now. Shoutouts to NU 7, NU 12, Omega 103, and CJ Quiri.                 - Brendan Kirkpatrick
